Privacy Policy

Tartan Couch LLC ("Tartan Couch," "we," or "us") respects your privacy. We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver the work you've asked us to do. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you get in touch by email, text, or phone, we collect the details you choose to share: your name, a way to reach you (your email address or phone number), details about your business and your project, and optionally a link to your current website. We don't ask for anything we don't need.
Our contact page doesn't store anything itself. It opens your own email or messaging app with a pre-filled message, and we receive your information only when you send it.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your inquiry, discuss and deliver your project, send quotes and invoices, and stay in touch about work you've asked us to do. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
Client projects
If you become a client, any content, files, or account access you share with us for your project is used only to deliver that project, and is handled as described in our written agreement with you.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, in aggregate. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't identify you personally.
Cookies and storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, only to remember things like your scroll position as you move around the site. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Hosting and technical data
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the providers we need to operate, such as Google Workspace for email and Cloudflare for hosting, and only as much as needed. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry messages for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client. We keep client records, including agreements and invoices, for 7 years after a project ends, for tax and legal purposes. After that, we delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing us. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep records we're required to keep by law, such as invoices.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure, access-controlled accounts. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
This website is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Do Not Track
We don't track visitors across websites, so we don't change how the site behaves based on Do Not Track or similar browser signals.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
